坐落在长江江畔的浔阳楼，是中国江南十大名楼之一，因为水浒传中宋江题反诗而出名。在题反诗出名之前，浔阳楼之名很早见之于唐代江州刺史韦应物的诗中。随后，白居易在《题浔阳楼》诗中又描写了它周围的景色，浔阳楼名气日显。如今可登楼观江景，楼内有关于《水游传》的书画，还有些书法绘画作品展览。

在浔阳楼坐23路公交车到五狮商厦，向前走不远是7路公交车站，7路公交车可到西林寺，但车次较少，等了近半个小时才发车。到西琳寺走一个多小时。公交车费是2元。

西琳寺坐落于庐山北麓，建于东晋太和二年（公元366年），是由太府卿陶范所建，被称为庐山北山第一寺。到西琳寺主要是看一幅墙壁，西琳寺中原有一幅墙壁，苏轼来游，看到壁前前人题诗甚多，顿时兴起，索笔著名的《题西林壁》，传为千古佳诗。其中的“不识庐山真面目”一句。不过，在西琳寺看到了墙壁，显然是今人修的，但来到此地还是有种满足感。不仅墙壁新修的，寺中的很多建筑也是新修的。

东林寺因处于西林寺以东，故名，东晋大元九年 （384年）建成，是庐山上历史悠久的寺院之一。东林寺是佛教净土宗（又称莲宗）的发源地，也被日本佛教净土宗和净土真宗视为祖庭。 东林寺山门前有净土文化街，用作后勤服务、心理咨询、国学传播、素食文化等方面之用。山门殿区位于大佛苑区建筑群中轴线南端，正殿为天王殿。天王殿与环庐山公路相邻，设计用一座五进门石牌坊作为屏障，以之为苑区的南部边界。

从东林寺出来，雨下得到了，一位女居士开车去九江，主动停车让我搭车，未到西琳寺又捡了两位居士，我们一起搭这位好心女居士到了九江十里大楼。
